Captain Denis P. Fleming's Fight for Huntington's Disease

On January 11th 2006, retired Captain Denis P. Fleming lost his courageous battle against Huntington’s Disease (HD). Team KJ was created to honor his legacy and continue the fight for a cure to this devastating disease.

Your continued support enables us to raise much needed awareness and funds towards HD research. Since the first golf outing in 2005, donations of well over $400,000 have been provided to HDSA, HDF, UC Davis and individuals in our community who have requested assistance.

We also like to recognize two other charities united to our cause: “Pay it Forward” started by Anne Ayers Pirelli and friends, and the newly formed “Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day Rugby Feis to Fight HD” spearheaded by our founder Keith Kennedy, and good friend Tom White. Plainly much has transpired since 2005 thanks to you. Capt. Denis P. Fleming and Kara Jean continue to inspire us to act against a horrendous disease which is caused by genetically programmed degeneration of nerve cells in the brain. The love, generosity and loyal support of so many friends, in our battle to find a cure for HD, is truly remarkable. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

May God Bless you always!
